Hello Lucien, today on hy:wp, you've my edit (deleting whole page content). The thing is that a new user was registered, but instead of placing the welcome-template, to his User-talk page, I've placed in on User page by mistake. Then after noticing it, i've deleted whole page content, as there were no previous versions of page, I could roll back to. And you've restored this, made-by-mistake-edit, both created and reverted by same user. "Deleting whole page content" is not always an evil-minded action.

Involved in RC patrol by myself, I appreciate your work, but please be more attentive. :) --Xelgen 17:37, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit] LucienBOT confused about en:HP QuickTest Professional

LucienBOT couldn't seem to get its act together when it edited en:HP QuickTest Professional today (yesterday, I guess?). First it added ru:HP LoadRunner, but then it changed its mind a minute later and changed that to ru:HP Quality Center. The correct link is, of course, ru:HP QuickTest Professional.

I'm not sure what was going on here, but the correct page existed before either of the other two pages, so that wasn't the problem. (Or wasn't the only problem.)

I see the problem: All three of the Russian pages linked to en:HP QuickTest Professional. Any way of weeding out weird cases like this, e.g. by deleting the link LucienBOT added when it finds a link to the same place on another page? If left unchecked, this could get very confusing.

I'm working on fixing the Russian pages.

Hi,

you removed my change, why? I removed the correspondence between the "Jadro galaktyki" in the Polish version of wiki and "Galactic Center" in the English version between there is no such correspondence. "Jadro galaktyki" mean a nucleus of any galaxy. There is, however, no such term in English wiki. On the other hand, "Galactic Center", with big G at the beginning, refers to OUR GALAXY, i.e Milky Way, and there are bilions of other galaxies in the Universe... You cannot make a correspondence for example between the star in Polish and the Sun in English, although the Sun is definitively also a star. I do not know how to resolve this issue but the current situation is unacceptable. bcz@camk.edu.pl (a registered user Bozena Czerny of Polish wiki).

Fine. I am an astronomer so I am sure. Finally I wrote a new Polish section on OUR GALAXY center and moved all the links there. Now it looks consistent. The previous Polish term should be linked to 'galactic nucleus' but there is no such separate term in the current English version.148.81.175.50 16:06, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
