Sorry, but the work on WikiOnt is not mine. In fact, I think that, while it uses similar technologies, it has a different goal than Semantic MediaWiki: it tries to give a machine-readable description of the structure and meta-data associated with an article. In contrast, I would be more interested in having a machine-readable description of (some of) its actual content. The details are explained on Semantic MediaWiki. You are invited to have a look!

Using the mailing list might also be a good idea, at least for announcing the existence of the portal. For discussion, I would prefer to use the portal pages, since this creates an integrated set of Wiki-articles (that give a blueprint for implementation) instead of a list of postings. I see what you're saying, but it seems to me that both projects go together quite well. If you extend on or the other you probably get the same result (a structuref description of information on a Wiki page). So I was thinking of extending the WikiOnt conversion code to describe some extra fields. Creating the RDF XML file can be done programmatically on my project I expect, since the important information is already in some form of structure. So I'm really more interested in the RDF query engine and REST webservice side of these things. I hope we can continue this discussion on the wiki-tech mailing list, since I won't be looking here all the time. Walden 22:25, 9 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've recently launched an Inspire Campaign to encourage new ideas focusing on content review and curation in Wikimedia projects. Wikimedia volunteers collaboratively manage vast repositories of knowledge, and we’re looking for your ideas about how to manage that knowledge to make it more meaningful and accessible. Through June, we’re organizing an Inspire Campaign to encourage and support new ideas focusing on addressing harassment toward Wikimedia contributors. The 2015 Harassment Survey has shown evidence that harassment in various forms - name calling, threats, discrimination, stalking, and impersonation, among others - is pervasive. Available methods and systems to deal with harassment are also considered to be ineffective. These behaviors are clearly harmful, and in addition, many individuals who experience or witness harassment participate less in Wikimedia projects or stop contributing entirely.
