JSTOR account redistribution (The Wikipedia Library)[edit]

Hi - according to our records you received a free account for JSTOR through The Wikipedia Library. Because we’ve used up all of our allocated accounts, and it’s been some time since they were distributed, we want to redistribute any accounts that aren’t being used to users on our waitlist.

If you’re still using, or plan to use, your JSTOR access, no problem! Simply head over to the Library Card platform, log in, and request a renewal of your account. You should be able to do this from your user page, or the JSTOR signup page. If you can’t find the renewal button, or have any other issues or questions about this, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page. We’ll begin redistributing inactive accounts in September; if you request renewal after then we will only be able to reactivate your account if we have spots remaining. Smithsonian[edit]

you are going to have to be patient with the Smithsonian. it is a sprawling organization with many distribution channels, and legacy images. as a museum they are very object oriented, rather than image oriented. they will have to go through and clean up their rights statements. if you go to their database, they have all the images of this object [1] with the standard usage terms not CC-0. cheers. Newspapers.com access[edit]

The status displayed on your Newspapers.com account page is how you can tell if you've expired. If your access is expired and you want to renew, visit "My Library", click "My applications" and click the "Request renewal" button next to your previous application. We'll then contact Newspapers.com and ask them to re-subscribe your account for a period of 1 year. -- Netoholic @ 06:51, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Peterhouse photos[edit]

btw, here is the source of the photos [2] and some other blogs [3]. might want to advise the uploader that sources behind paywall should be cited the old fashioned way. cheers. --Slowking4 (talk) 16:26, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

How do you prove an image is anonymous and has no source on the internet?[edit]

with a deletionist admin, you cannot. i took a photo of the scanner sitting next to NewYorkBrad, and was greeted with a talk page full of deletion notifications, with a grilling from a german deletionist. per PRP, the cynics do not believe anything. so it goes. 68.100.184.226 16:35, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
