Translation combination boxes [edit]

The following text was copied from Meta:Babel#Translation_combination_boxes. As an active translator, it may be of any interest to you:

Hi, Sabine worked on new boxes for translators. They aim at giving information about translation combination: say, I can translate from English to French, from Italian to Spanish, and so on. It would help us to know who can translate what, in what, to streamline the translation process. The boxes do not provide information about your level (wether you are a professional translator or not, for example); you may write something about this point in your user page (very useful as well). A few boxes are available, be bold and create those you need :) Be aware we use ISO 639-3 codes for languages (fra and not fr, eng and not en, ...).

Please see "Translator in the following language combinations" and pick up templates for your user page!
This message was pasted on several User talk pages of active translators.

Thank you :)

Candidat tardif [edit]

Salut ptit gars,

Nous avons eu plusieurs candidatures tardives et je manque de temps. Pourrais-tu, si tu as le temps, voir la candidature d'evrik ? Tiens-moi au courant si tu es trop occupé.

Merci pour ton aide ! :) guillom 09:44, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

yamour.com [edit]

You tried to get this site blacklisted last year but your request was declined. I thought you would like to know it finally happened:

  1. Talk:Spam blacklist/Archives/2006/12#*.yamour.com
  2. Talk:Spam blacklist/Archives/2007/05/Additions: Done#yamour.com

This spammer created many other problems:

  1. en:Special:Contributions/Newww
  2. en:Wikipedia:Mirrors and forks/Vwxyz#yamourdotcom
    • Illegal use of Wikipedia material in violation of Wikipedia's GFDL license
  3. en:Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive132#linkspammer from yamourdotcom
    • Abusive, uncivil behaviour

I cleaned up links across several dozen Wikipedias (except for several French user pages; I was reluctant to tamper with others' user pages.

Thanks for fighting this one. I wish your request had been honored when you made it; you wrote:

"it's in prevention. I'd understand if you don't blacklist it, but it won't be long to have normal spamm :)"

You were absolutely right! --A. B. (talk) 19:50, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Linking the Accounts [edit]

Hi Schiste. I have no idea how to link my accounts. Do I do this with the single user login thing? However, I gave here a confirmation. Greetings from Switzerland, --Petar Marjanovic 05:27, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Moin Marjanovic, single user login thing is not available yet, sorry. You may just put two links, singing on, one on meta user page to your home project userpage and vice versa. Thanks, --Aphaia 09:33, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

Privacy violation by a ruwiki checkuser [edit]

Sorry for multiple posting. I want to send this to the ombudsman commission members, but I am not sure who of you is available. Here checkuser Kv75 disclosed personally identifiable information about a user. He disclosed that the user is located in Moscow. Publishing whereabouts is prohibited by the privacy policy. (Previously Kv75 openly speculated about other users' travel.) SA ru 19:07, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
