A barnstar for you![edit]

This barnstar is given to you for your help with the 2011 fundraiser translation.
This barnstar is given to you for your help with the 2011 fundraiser translation.

Hi! I just want to thank you and give you this barnstar for your help with the translation of the 2011 fundraiser! The fundraiser was the best we ever had, both in terms of the amount we collected and in terms of number of translations. We couldn't have done either one without the help we got from you and other translators. If you are interested, we made a report, which has some statistics about the translations.

And: I have one more request, and that is that you take this survey. You may have got an e-mail about it, and if you did, please ignore this. But if you didn't it would be great if you would take this survey too, so we can learn to improve the translation experience.

Again, thanks for your help with translations – you're awesome! Jon Harald Søby (WMF) 14:31, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Translation of April Wikimedia Highlights[edit]

Hi Stephen,

thanks for contributing the Swahili translation of the Wikimedia Highlights! Note that has been a small correction in the Financials section of the original which would be good to be reflected in the translated version. As noted on Translators-l, it is planned to announce completed translations tomorrow (Wednesday), do you think this could work for the Swahili version? (Feel free to point out translation difficulties or ask clarification questions on the talk page.)

It was great meeting you in Berlin. Thanks in particular for telling me about the schools programs, it was useful for me as background knowledge when editing this blog post.

Regards, Tbayer (WMF) (talk) 12:23, 15 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks![edit]

Just a quick note of appreciation for your contributions on Meta in the past couple of months. It's great you're taking the time to help out wherever you see an opportunity, and not just in relation to Wikimedia Kenya. Great work! Asaf Bartov (WMF Grants) talk 18:08, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your translations[edit]

Hi, Stephen!

Thank you for helping to translate the WMF Grants program pages on Meta. Thanks to your efforts, these programs will be accessible to more people all over the world. We would like to send you something in appreciation of your work, so please contact us by Email at grants at wikimedia dot org with your name, shirt size (optional), address for delivery (not a PO Box), and telephone number (for delivery).

We would also like to let you know that our programs are growing and we will need to make some significant changes to these program pages in the next few weeks. When this happens, these pages may need to be retranslated, although much of the new text will be identical or similar to the text you've already translated: you've already translated this text, so you'd be able to copy and paste much from your existing translation. Please consider continuing to support the movement's work in this area, and please continue to let your multilingual friends and colleagues know that this support is still needed as our programs grow!

Please also let us know if you have any feedback for us: it's always welcome.

With appreciation,

Wolliff (talk) 21:05, 14 August 2012 (UTC) (on behalf of the Wikimedia Grants Team)[reply]

Please fill out our brief Participation Support Program survey[edit]

Hello, the Wikimedia Foundation would like your feedback on the Participation Support Program! We have created a brief survey to help us better understand your experience participating in the program and how we can improve for the future. You are being selected to participate in our survey because you submitted or commented on Participation Support requests in the past.

Click here to be taken to the survey site.

The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete. We really appreciate your feedback! And we hope to see you in the Participation Support Program again soon.

Happy editing,

Grants:IEG/Wikipedia likes Galactic Exploration for Posterity 2015[edit]

Dear User:Stephenwanjau,

People suggested that I consult with fellow Wikipedians to get feedback and help to improve my idea about "As an unparalleled way to raise awareness of the Wikimedia projects, I propose to create a tremendous media opportunity presented by launching Wikipedia via space travel."

I plan to use the WikiOffline and OpenZIM content library as the basis of the content launched into outer space.

Please see the idea at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:IEG/Wikipedia_likes_Galactic_Exploration_for_Posterity_2015. Please post your suggestions on the talk page and please feel free to edit the idea and join the project.

Thank you for your time and attention in this matter. I appreciate it.

My best regards, Geraldshields11 (talk) 14:03, 16 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Help with a project[edit]

I am initiating a project to record the name of my language in all the languages present in Wikipedia. First, I encourage you to create / improve the article on the Asturian language and, on the other hand, to help me in my project I would need a man and a woman to record how it is said in your language: Asturian and then upload it to Commons. Thanks in advance. - Vsuarezp (talk) 21:26, 15 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
