Arabic translation of Mayflower[edit]

Hi. I made some spelling corrections to the Arabic translation of Mayflower. Could you please use the updated version? --Meno25 16:40, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, thank you. --Meno25 13:50, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Translation[edit]

Can you add Polish lnguage to the base. http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Tangotango/Mayflower/Translation/pl

please, it's redy in 70% ;) The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.199.198.243 (talk • contribs) 16:11, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Portuguese translation[edit]

See User:Tangotango/Mayflower/Translation/pt. By the way, http://tools.wikimedia.de/~tangotango/mayflower/index.php page should have an option the choose language like in http://tools.wikimedia.de/~tangotango/mayflower/advanced.php Mosca 07:06, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you too. Portuguese translation it's working well. Some suggestions:

  • We should be able to translate "archive type" drop-down menu ("All types", "Images", "Audio files", "Video files" and "Documents") in advanced search [1]
  • We should be able to translate license types like in this example (license icons ALT text)
  • Telling people somewhere "You should have cookies enabled while choosing interface language" (something like this, my english is not very good). I didn't had cookies enabled for tools server domain and I was getting interface results page in english. I though it was an error until I figured out. I don't know if this is important because most people should have cookies enabled by default.
  • I think other Mayflower translators should add this line translated (or something similar):
<li>Try using words in other languages, mainly in english (for example "water" instead "água", "ماء", "voda", "eau", "Wasser", "水", "woda", "agua" or "vatten")</li>

on:

$lang['MF_NO_RESULTS_FOUND_C'] = 'No results found';
$lang['MF_NO_RESULTS_FOUND'] = '<p>I\'m afraid we have nothing to offer you for "%s".</p>
<ul><li>Double-check that the words are spelt correctly</li>
<li>Try using synonyms for words you specified in your query</li>
<li>Try reducing the number of words if you specified more than one</li>
<li>Try removing parameters from your search, if you did an Advanced search</li>
<li>Try using words in other languages, mainly in english (for example "water" instead "água")</li>
</ul>';

For example, portuguese translation has:

<li>Tente pesquisar com palavras em outras línguas, principalmente em inglês (por exemplo "water" em vez de "água")</li>

Each translator should choose the word in is language. Of course this line it's not useful on english interface. Just on other languages. Mosca 05:38, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Tangotango, and congratulations on becoming an administrator! Please list yourself here. Welcome aboard! :) MaxSem 07:05, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey - welcome to the "toys". Just thought I'd say that I tend to block spambot IPs really so that there is a "log" of their behaviour for anyone to see (no idea about policy - just my personal view!). I have found sometimes that they repeat which makes a longer block sensible, Good to have you around - cheers --Herby talk thyme 11:13, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Toolserver type query[edit]

And knowing that you know a lot more about it than me! A useful tool to me is the "admin activity" one so for Meta this was working a while back but not for a couple of weeks or so ("403 forbidden" being the message). Any ideas, if not no problem but thought you might know, cheers --Herby talk thyme 10:50, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks & damn! I have fairly strong views on admin inactivity (& just changed the policy on Commons based on that tool!!) so it was useful. Thanks anyway, regards --Herby talk thyme 11:16, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

$lang['gen_db-select-error'] = 'Could not select database (The database you selected may be non-existent); Sala maka: ';

$lang['gen_query_failed'] = 'The SQL query failed with the following error: ';
$lang['gen_query_failed_badrowcount'] = 'The SQL query did not return the correct number of rows.';

Re: Traditional Chinese translation for Mayflower[edit]

Thanks for your message on zh-wiki. Here is the reply.
1. "Traditional Chinese" in Traditional Chinese is 「正體中文」.
2. Language code should use "zh-hant". As this translation can apply on both Taiwan and Hong Kong. It is more suitable to use "zh-hant".
If you have further enquries, please feel free to contact me via user page, thanks.--華德禹 17:17, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion for Milestone tool[edit]

Could you add a way to filter milestones by namespace?

Also, would it be possible to present the output as a list, given a specific interval (for example, for an interval set to 100, show a list of the milestones 100, 200, 300, etc.) ?

Thanks, Waldir 09:50, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Milestone" toolserver script[edit]

I really like the "milestone" script -- it's a great idea. One question, though -- would it be too much trouble to add a link to a diff of the edit returned by the tool? Cheers, Iknowyourider 05:58, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

dellie's license[edit]

Is it really "(C) 2007 Tangotango. All rights reserved"? Or is it avaiable under a free license? (I want to write a bot which adds the {{delete}} template to an article if you call the bot) MF-Warburg(de) 10:25, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

dellie problems[edit]

Hi there, I have some problems with Dellie (both modified and original code):

  • first, I have no module "StdTimer". Where I can get it from?
  • when commenting out the StdTimer lines, that

f = LogBotFactory(sys.argv[1], sys.argv[2]) is out of range.

Best regards MF-Warburg(de) 12:17, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now, I have StdTimer, but at
f = LogBotFactory(sys.argv[1], sys.argv[2])

I get "IndexError: list index out of range". MF-Warburg(de) 10:46, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
