Linuxbeak has already deleted the Go*.jpg set of images... sigh... Ambush Commander 00:47, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Alright. Zscout370 00:48, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, actually, he hasn't. Only three of them overlapped. My mistake. Ambush Commander 00:49, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No big deal :) Zscout370 00:50, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

Hi Z - you've tagged a lot of images for speedying - why are these speedies? Just another star in the night T | @ | C 05:55, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Because on Meta's request for deletions, there are pages where images that are supposed to be slated for deletion. The vote passed, so I am carrying out the outcome of the vote. Plus, most of the pictures on Meta that I tagged for deletion have no source, no license, and if they are, they are false or not directly related to Meta. I was told to tag them as speedy in #wikimedia, but I am not sure why Linuxbreak or anyone else did not get around to it. Zscout370 13:43, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is that I don't see how it fits the CSD criteria here. If it has no source, then if you tag it with {{no source}} then I can delete it after seven days, for example. Other than that I can pretty much only delete obvious copyright infringements.... Just another star in the night T | @ | C 19:40, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Siberian Wiki[edit]

Siberian wikipedia thanks you for your vote in our support. Unfortunately, many votes in this voting http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Proposals_for_closing_projects/Closure_of_Siberian_Wikipedia are alleged to be falsified. We need you to verify your vote. There are two ways of doing it: you can confirm it right below this request or you can do this by adding to your user page a link to your meta account (like this:[1]") --Ottorahn 18:41, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

All looks good. Zscout370 03:22, 22 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Legzi Wikipedia[edit]

Hi, I would like you to remind you that it seems inappropriate to delete an image local admins had refused to delete in the past using your global sysop powers. Yes, the file is now on commons but "Duplicate file" hardly makes that clear or points users to the new image they should be using. It sends the wrong message. On wikis with active local admins, such as the Legzi Wikipedia, tagging should be preferred, and deletion only be performed in anti-vandalism or if admins are not handling the matter after some time. I'd also like to remind you that you have to create a userpage on wikis where you perform global sysop actions: not only it is a policy requirement, but it helps point people to your main userpage where they can contact you and notice that you're a global sysop performing a gs action, etc.. Snowolf How can I help? 05:44, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What images have they refused to delete on lez.wikipedia? On that Wiki, I have performed no deletions and there is only 2 images on that project. On some of the projects I have performed deletions, I did create userpages on them. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 14:18, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The update?[edit]

Hi, why do you update the date and hour, but not the content of table of wikipedias?

The stats page has been down for a few days, and when I copied the data, it was the same when I did it. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 04:55, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How to update a logo on a Wikimedia project?[edit]

Hi,

You can bookmark the file wmf-config/InitialiseSettings.php. It's the last deployed configuration file.

Around the line 350, you'll find a wgLogo array.

  1. If the wiki you wish to update the logo has a $stdlogo value, it means you can replace locally File:Wiki.png
  2. If the wiki has instead an URL, you've two options:
    1. guess the file matching the URL (like File:Wikimediaboard-logo135px.png on meta. for advisory.) and see if it's acceptable to upload a new version on Commons ;
    2. open a bug on Bugzilla to ask a configuration change.

I'm at your disposal for more information or to handle any bug you'd open on Bugzilla on this topic (you can directly add my mail in cc, so I'm notified). --Dereckson (talk) 18:52, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize I was absent from IRC, I had to take care of something sudden. Pretty much, I will try and use the second option and have it point to an image URL (since sometimes wiki.png that is uploaded isn't the logo that is displayed). User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 03:53, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
