Wikimedia Foundation Board Governance Committee/Agenda 2012-2013/Board Handbook
What will happen here[edit]
One of the topics for the Board Governance Committee (BGC) in 2012/2013 is starting the creation of rules of procedure for the Board. In the following weeks this page documents the ongoings and the BGC will ask for input.
Board Handbook[edit]
Instead of creating a large and finalized set of rules it seems to be more practical to think of it as a handbook, where you can add chapters whenever the Board recognizes a necessity. It should be a more process oriented addition to the Wikimedia Foundation board manual but the relationship, differences and overlappings of both need to be discussed.
Even an open handbook needs some general stuff to start with and some examples for the kind of regulations it should include. The BGC will start with this in May 2013 and will document the proceedings here.
