Knowledge is evolving and dynamic. With the evolution of the next generation technology and the tremendous growth of knowledge power house in India, it is necessary to preserve them in a structured manner. A collaborative approach in maintaining this huge knowledge base is required to share and distribute and create a knowledge network. This network of knowledge can be created by providing on demand knowledge service which can only be achieved through a collaborative approach with academic institutions which are the knowledge hub. A model that establishes wiki communities in colleges and universities and connect them through a dedicated knowledge network to bring out the latest research, ideas and innovations. The theme is to socialize the innovation and idea through building this collaborative knowledge outreach network in academic institutions. The idea is to setup knowledge communities (WikiCommunity) in various academic institutions across the country. These academic knowledge centres will pour in all the innovation, idea, research, articles, documents that add to the knowledge and value. Information and knowledge transmitted through this wikicommunity network setup across institution will be able to share other information from other community as well in the network. It will be a cross connect network to facilitate a collaborative approach of knowledge sharing and thus establishing a knowledge rich wiki knowledge-base with the objective to share and socialize knowledge.
