- Abstract (maximum 500 words)
My workshop is an analysis of Wikipedia's coverage of people and places in developing countries and how to improve content in order to match developed nations. The common perception is that there is a great deal of disparity between Wikipedia's content on countries of Western Europe, Australia and the U.S.A. and those on countries in Asia and Africa. For example, the relative proportion of featured and good articles on India to its area and population is much lesser than those of the United Kingdom or Australia. The main intention of this workshop is to get more and more editors from developing countries to contribute quality content.
