WikiPoll

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

WikiPoll is a wiki whose goal is to propose polls to everyone. I've implemented a version on a web hoster (check out http://wikipoll.free.fr)

For now, WikiPoll has 500 users, most of them are French.

The MediaWiki extension I use is available here.

What would the use of this be? Wouldn't Wikia be better? Computerjoe 16:13, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure how much response you'd get. I visit WikiPedia for information or to give information... not to vote in polls. I suppose it'd be interesting to see the demographics of visitors (or, at least, of voters) and maybe get their very standardized views on various issues, but other than that... I think I'm going to have to agree with ComputerJoe on this one. // Mila / 22.04, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

For now, it's an experiment. WikiPoll is not Wikipedia at all ; maybe it won't work... But it's worth trying ;) As for Wikia, I've made a resquest for project but had no response. -- Eric 22:17, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
