Body[edit]

The process of adapting desktop experiences to mobile devices has many challenges. In order to convey the same information whilst dealing with the constraint of smaller screens, it's often necessary to be as concise as possible. If you're crammed on a tightly-packed train on your way to work, searching around on the Wikipedia app for a particular article, long-form prose just isn't going to cut it; you need a short description to give you some context to each search result. And that's where Wikidata comes in.

We've recently improved the Wikipedia app so that when you're searching for an article, the title of each search result is augmented with the Wikidata short description.
