How to get to Home Base Lounge[edit]

On Friday evening there will be a nice get-together of the Conference and chapter folks with local Wikipedians and other guests, it will take place in the Home Base Lounge (address: Köthener Str. 44, 10963 Berlin, Google Maps) close to the famous Potsdamer Platz square. The closest train station is S+U Potsdamer Platz. (Facebook event, Foursquare venue)

Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung to Home Base Lounge:

The best idea would be to hoof it! :) Turn left and follow the Schumannstraße until the intersection with Luisenstraße. Turn left again and follow the Luisenstraße straight on (after a while, passing the river, it's called Wilhelmstraße) until the big avenue Unter den Linden. Turning right you can see the famous Brandenburger Tor. Pass it and behind the gate turn left to Ebertstraße. Follow the Ebertstraße a while (passing the US Embassy and the Holocaust memorial) and you'll reach the square Potsdamer Platz. Pass the intersection and follow the street (now it's called Stresemannstraße) straight on. Behind the big red building turn right, the street is called Köthener Straße. On the left side you should see a big (grey) building, on the groudn floor is the entrance to the Home Base Lounge.

S+U Friedrichstraße to Home Base Lounge:

For the lazy people:
S+U Friedrichstraße ---> S-Bahn lines S1 (direction Wannsee/Zehlendorf), S2 (direction Lichtenrade/Blankenfelde) or S25 (direction Lichterfelde Süd/Teltow Stadt) ---> train station S+U Potsdamer Platz. From there you should walk a while in southern direction. Behind the big red building turn to the right, the street is called Köthener Straße. On the left side you should see a big (grey) building, on the groudn floor is the entrance to the Home Base Lounge.
