Reunión con Archivo de la Federación de Estudiantes de la Universidad de Chile

Resumen/reporte:
Eduardo Testart, Juan David Ruiz y Roberto Muñoz se reunieron con Pilar Díaz, archivera del Archivo de la Federación de Estudiantes de la Universidad de Chile (FECh). Se realizó una breve presentación de las experiencias GLAM de Wikimedia Chile, en particular el trabajo con el Museo de la Memoria y con la Fundación Salvador Allende. Pilar Díaz da a conocer los contenidos del Archivo de la FECh, explica que se encuentran en proceso de digitalización ciertos documentos del archivo, gracias a un proyecto que se está desarrollando con la Universidad de Harvard, y da cuenta de algunas dificultades que poseen para difundir el material disponible. Finalmente se trata en extenso temas relativos a las licencias de contenido libre, aceptadas en el contexto de los proyectos de la Fundación Wikimedia.

Meeting with the Archive of the Students Federation of Universidad de Chile

Summary/report:
Eduardo Testart, Juan David Ruiz, and Roberto Muñoz met Pilar Díaz, archivalist from the Archive of the Students Federation of Universidad de Chile (FECh). A short presentation of the GLAM experiences held by Wikimedia Chile, specially the work with Museo de la Memoria, and Salvador Allende Foundation. Pilar Díaz shows the contents of the FECh Archive, and explains that certain documents are in the process of being scanning, thanks to a project that is under development in collaboration with Harvard University, and shares some of the difficulties that they have to spread the material available. Finally, a long conversation about subjects refered to licenses of free content, accepted under the context of the Wikimedia Foundation projects is held.
