A vertical reading-mode for Classical Chinese.

of 2017 Community Wishlist Survey/Miscellaneous/Vertical writing support
  • Problem: Classical Chinese 🏛 Wikipedia is currently written horizontally reading from left-to-right, and then up-to-down, this isn't how any actual Classical Chinese text is written, and there certainly is the technical capability to make this script written in “the correct order”.
  • Who would benefit: People who get irritated by the fact that Classical Chinese Wikipedia 🏛 isn't written like actual Classical Chinese texts. 🧐
  • Proposed solution: Create an optional mode for the Classical Chinese Wikipedia 🏛 to be read in the traditional-style of vertical writing with characters going from up-to-down, and then from right-to-left. I think 🤔 that this should also be applied to mentions of Latin script, Cyrillic script, Greek script, Devanagari script, Etc. included within the Classical Chinese Wikipedia 🏛.
