Create global translation administrators

NoN Proposes social/community change rather than a technical feature

  • Problem: Some wikis have much more active translation admins than others
  • Who would benefit: Every non-English speakers of the community.
  • Proposed solution: The idea would be to make global translation administrators on every WMF wikis with the translation extention on it. It would make the translation system faster, more efficient and flexible without sacrificing safety. After 6 month of inactivity, they would lost their rights.
  • More comments: A local translation admin with experience could ask Stewards these rights.

This is not the purpose of 2017 Community Wishlist Survey. We can already do this, creating a new gloal user group. It was already discussed. Matiia (talk) 21:46, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
