Overview
[edit]The 72 Hours Virtual Marathon Edit-a-thon project is focused on improving the quality of Igbo Wikipedia articles by fixing identified errors, inconsistencies, and gaps, ensuring that the available content meets Wikimedia’s standard, as well as expanding language localization efforts on translatewiki. This in turn enhances community engagement and capacity building among participants.

[edit]The project takes the form of an edit-a-thon lasting for a duration of 72 hours for each edition.
Timeline: January–September 2026
Eligibility
[edit]Individuals with a very good understanding of Igbo language and are interested in contributing to open knowledge. To participate:
Complete the registration form.
Register on the dashboard.
Participate in the virtual launch, training and edit-a-thon.
