|reason = On Incubator, we are recently getting a lot of strange spam in the following way: New users register and create their user page with some advertisement text, including an external link. The services that are advertised are always different. It's probably a spam bot, as we created an Abuse Filter that prevents these edits, but they keep to try it (see the abuse log linked above). Could it please be checked if these users (I linked the 4 accounts that were caught by the filter today) are related, that maybe a rangeblock can be made? The accounts do not have equivalents in other wikis, but maybe this sort of vandalism is performed by some known vandal's IP range? --<small>MF-W</small> 20:36, 10 December 2011 (UTC)

<translate> This page is for requesting CheckUser information on a wiki with no local CheckUsers (see also requesting checkuser access). Make sure to follow the following instructions, or your request may not be processed in a timely manner.</translate>

<translate> Before making a request:</translate>

 1. <translate> Make sure you have a good reason for the check. It will only be accepted to counter vandalism or disruption to Wikimedia wikis. Valid reasons include needing a block of the underlying IP or IP range, disruptive sockpuppetry, vote-stacking, and similar disruption where the technical evidence from running a check would prevent or reduce further disruption.</translate>
 2. <translate> Be specific in your reasons. Ambiguous or insufficient reasons will cause delays. Explain the disruption and why you believe the accounts are related, ideally using diff links or other evidence.</translate>
 3. <translate> Make sure there are no local checkusers.</translate>
 4. <translate> Please ensure that the check hasn't already been done:</translate>

Unlikely Unlikely most of them are from the same "B-net", but even the "C-nets" are differing! a×pdeHello! 13:23, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
(after ec) All  Confirmed. Some confirmed socks: Asdf135a, Asdf135ss, Egegsdfe, Zonewfc and there are probably more. A rangeblock is not possible as he's using large ranges (/16), perhaps you could use the abuse filter? I will check this out later today (checking the IPs, accounts, et cetera). Trijnstel 13:35, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
@Axpde, consider this as a second opinion. I didn't notice you were doing the CU and I'm sure the accounts are socks. Trijnstel 13:35, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I set a keyword in MediaWiki:TitleBlackList, hope that works. -Mys_721tx(talk) 15:55, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

 Confirmed, and Berkham6 is also the same. Cordially, -- Quentinv57 (talk) 17:15, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Did you ever met Ajudante do Coelho da Páscoa? --Vituzzu 21:13, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No.--Demander 21:17, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not done, please ensure that future requests for ptwiki come from administrators, unless it is an emergency. PeterSymonds (talk) 21:20, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Neither Ajudante do Papai Noel? --Vituzzu 21:21, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Acept this check, is a liar explication. It`s not future resuest.--Demander 21:23, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Please, can see if it is technically possible a rangeblock? PcTalk 21:52, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I already said it's not possible and it's easier to manage these sockfarm with some semi-protections, anyway Fátima S.  It looks like a duck to me
--Vituzzu 21:55, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The semi-protections do not help. PcTalk 21:56, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Since the pattern is quite known you just need to block every new account acting in the same way as the previous socks. --Vituzzu 21:59, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Template:Agree with Pedroca Cerebral. The same protections do not help.--Demander 22:00, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wet12@pt.wikipedia

Sorry, but Fishing CheckUser is not for fishing. If you suspect Wet12 to be a sock, please tell us which user you suspect it to be a sock, and the reasons of such a suspiction. Cordially, -- Quentinv57 (talk) 20:10, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Please see if the user mentioned is not ElectroStatic Jolt (talk · contribs). He has the same behavior (shows lock requests unfounded). PcTalk 01:21, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Stale Sorry, but the data for ElectroStatic Jolt has expired. Regards, -- Quentinv57 (talk) 10:02, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
