What languages do you speak, and at what fluency level? (Please include your English proficiency.) en-N, tl-N, es-1
What region(s) of the world do you have experience with, and what kind of experience do you have? (“Experience” can mean you have lived or worked there or are currently living or working there; you’re familiar with the culture and language; etc.) I have visited 17 countries outside the Philippines and have logged 49 foreign cities, which are listed on my English Wikipedia userspace. My experiences include technical certification programs (Cisco, AT&T, Panduit, etc. -- USA, UK, Australia, HK); family pilgrimages to our ancestral home in Aragon, Spain; cultural trips (Spain, Vietnam, Netherlands, Thailand, etc. ); trade shows (USA, Singapore, etc.); recordings (USA); festival participation in the UK (Candid Jazz Festival), India (IIT Saarang), Singapore (Esplanade), Japan (Japan Music Week; Kansai Music Conference); and tourism (Greece, Switzerland, etc). As a Wikimedian, I have visited Germany, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and Kenya for Conferences, Summits, Wikimanias and planning meetups (ESEAP).
What Wikimedia project(s) do you actively edit? And in what language(s)? My edits are found in meta-wiki, English-wiki, Simple English-wiki, with translations and adaptations made to the Tagalog and Hiligaynon (incubator) languages. To complement these, my community efforts focus on governance and activity organization.
What affiliate(s) are you actively involved with? In what capacity are you involved? Do you serve in a leadership role or have you in the past? ☸ 2022-present, Founding Head (emeritus) (not an officer) of the Pilipinas Panorama Community (PPC), a thematic community and cultural heritage organization based in Metro Manila.

Past: ☸ President (2014-2015) then Vice-Chairman (2015-2016) of the former affiliate, Wikimedia Philippines (WMPH) (later became the Wiki Society of the Philippines). ☸ President (2022) of Philippine Wikimedia Community (PH-WC) user group based in Naga City, Camarines Sur province.

Have you served on any committees (movement-related or otherwise)? And what was your role on the committee(s)? Effective 30 June 2025 (until 30 June 2026), I transitioned my role in ESEAP as a Founding Community Connector. Beforehand, I served as a member of the ESEAP Preparatory Council (2023-2025), and with the ESEAP Interim Hub Committee (2023). I also served in the Movement Charter Ambassadors program (3 terms, 2022-2024). ☸ I was a proponent of the 2025 ESEAP Summit held in Manila (Philippines).
Please describe any experience you have with conflict resolution and/or consensus building. I serve with the AffCom Conflicts Subcommittee and, combined with two years prior in Recognitions, has brought privy (NDA) experience to complexities and dynamics that emerge in affiliation. I am willingly disposed to contribute to our ecosystem's becoming greater than the sum of its parts; a reason to continue my work in AffCom.
In your ideal world, what does the affiliate model and ecosystem look like? The Wikimedia movement is dynamic, with ongoing efforts in technology advancement, community growth, and strategic planning involving many contributors. It is my honour to be counted among those working its dynamics. I would like to work with AffCom to help affiliates overcome barriers, hone their governance most of all, widen their spaces, and bolster their capacities.
In your ideal world, what are AffCom’s roles and responsibilities in relation to the movement and affiliates? I see myself working as a participant with the Greater AffCom towards the ecosystem's unfolding. Having worked previously as a Movement Charter ambassador, I see clearly why I should be continually involved, and now as an AffCom member. As our ecosystem is steadily changing, in flux, and looking at many improvements, guidance is to be imparted for entire communities aspiring to larger opportunities.
What role within AffCom are you most interested in: advisory or voting member? I would contribute more value to the Committee as a Voting Member.
