What region(s) of the world do you have experience with, and what kind of experience do you have? (“Experience” can mean you have lived or worked there or are currently living or working there; you’re familiar with the culture and language; etc.)	I have substantial experience across multiple regions because my work has been consistently global and collaborative. I began in West Africa, where I lived and contributed deeply to community building in Nigeria through program management, affiliate support, and movement governance. Beyond that, I have worked remotely with organizations in Italy, the United States, Germany and Finland, which has given me practical understanding of how organizations operate across different cultural and structural contexts. Living in Finland has strengthened my engagement with Northern European communities, especially through my role on the Open Knowledge Finland steering committee, where I collaborate on open knowledge, digital rights and community-driven initiatives. These combined experiences mean I am comfortable navigating diverse cultural environments, supporting communities with varying levels of maturity, and understanding how regional contexts influence affiliate needs and growth.
What Wikimedia project(s) do you actively edit? And in what language(s)?	Due to my role as a WiR and Global Coordinator for the Language Diversity Hub, I actively work in the Incubator, WikiCommons, and Meta.
What affiliate(s) are you actively involved with? In what capacity are you involved? Do you serve in a leadership role or have you in the past?	Igbo Wikimedians User Group (Founding member), Wikitongues User Group (Wikimedian in Residence), Global Coordinator for the Language Diversity Hub, Wikimedia Finland, Open Knowldege Finland.
Have you served on any committees (movement-related or otherwise)? And what was your role on the committee(s)?	Yes, I have served on several committees across the movement and in related organisations. I am a Board member at Wiki In Africa, where I support strategic planning and organisational governance. I also serve on the Steering Committee of Open Knowledge Finland, working on open knowledge initiatives and community-led activities, and I am on the Board of African And Proud, where I help guide the organisation’s direction and partnerships. Within the Wikimedia movement, I was part of the Wiki Women’s Advisory Team, where I helped establish the Wiki Women’s Task Force and supported early coordination efforts. I also served on the Strategic Wikimedia Affiliates Network Organizing Committee, helping to facilitate and coordinate SWAN meetings across different regions. In 2024, I participated in the Movement Charter Electoral Committee, contributing to the processes that guided the global community elections. Across all these roles, I have consistently worked in collaborative, decision-making environments that centre community needs, transparency, and strong governance.
Please describe any experience you have with conflict resolution and/or consensus building.	I have built most of my conflict resolution and consensus-building experience through my work with diverse communities and organizations that often bring together people with very different priorities and communication styles. In the Wikimedia movement, I have frequently stepped into situations where affiliates or project teams needed support navigating misunderstandings, structural challenges, or strained relationships. My approach has always been to listen first, understand the root concerns without judgement, and help create a space where everyone feels heard. Working across regions like West Africa, Northern Europe, and with international nonprofit teams in Italy, the US, Germany, and Finland has also strengthened my ability to bridge cultural differences and guide groups toward shared goals. Whether it has been facilitating community conversations, mediating tensions within volunteer teams, or helping committees align around strategy, I focus on clarity, empathy, and patience. I am comfortable bringing people back to the larger purpose, identifying points of agreement, and slowly rebuilding trust so decisions can be made collectively and transparently.
In your ideal world, what does the affiliate model and ecosystem look like?	In my ideal world, the affiliate model is flexible, inclusive, and locally led, with each affiliate empowered to define its priorities while remaining connected to the global movement. The ecosystem supports strong collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mentorship between affiliates, providing clear guidance, resources, and capacity-building opportunities. It balances autonomy with accountability, encourages innovation, and ensures that communities of all sizes can thrive, contribute meaningfully, and have their voices heard in decision-making processes.
In your ideal world, what are AffCom’s roles and responsibilities in relation to the movement and affiliates?	In my ideal world, AffCom acts as both a steward and a partner for affiliates. It provides guidance, support, and oversight to ensure affiliates are well-governed, sustainable, and aligned with movement values, while respecting their local autonomy. AffCom also facilitates knowledge sharing, helps resolve challenges, and acts as a bridge between affiliates and the broader movement. Its role includes nurturing new affiliates, supporting growth and capacity building, and ensuring that all affiliates, regardless of size or region, can contribute meaningfully and have their voices heard in movement-wide decisions.
