Africa WIki Women - Give to Gain 2026/Reports

Reports
[edit]With the launch of the Give to Gain 2026 campaign, the Africa Wiki Women made an open call for a female organiser as a way of empowering African female Wikimedians and also an opportunity to hold a physical training/meetup that meets the contact needs of community members across various African countries and to bridge the constant virtual meetings, as nothing beats a physical session.
Upon this call, we received 6 responses from 6 confident African female Wikimedians and after the review of the applications, Julie Acom was granted the support to organise the Africa Wiki Women IWD 2026 event in Uganda. Through this, the Africa Wiki Women collaborated with the Wikimedia Community User Group Uganda.
