This event page is for the AWW #NominateHer Campaign, where each month we highlight women nominated by the community. We are committed to showcasing the diverse contributions of African women to the Wikimedia movement, ensuring their work remains visible, valued, and remembered. Africa Wiki Women – Nominate Her is dedicated to amplifying and celebrating the contributions of African women within the Wikimedia community. Our mission is to spotlight the remarkable work of women across the continent, ensuring their efforts and achievements are recognized and valued.

November 2024 Nominee

With the launch of the Nominate Her campaign, Tochi Precious has been the first nominee to be celebrated. She is a Nigerian Wikipedian, the Co-founder of the Wikimedia User Group, and a language advocate.


December 2024 Nominee

In the last month of 2024, the Africa Wiki Women celebrated Rebecca Jeannette as a nominee of the campaign. She is Rwandan, the Co-founder of the Wikimedia Community User Group Rwanda, the founder of OpenStreetMap Rwanda, and an advocate for open knowledge.
