African Wiki Women Leadership and Fellowship Program Charter/Pioneer Fellows

The Africa Wiki Women Leadership and Mentorship Programme (Cohort 1), held from October 2024 to March 2025, marked the beginning of an empowering journey aimed at building the leadership capacity of African women in the open knowledge movement. The programme received 68 applications from across the continent, reflecting a strong interest and commitment to advancing gender equity within the Wikimedia ecosystem. Following a rigorous review and selection process conducted between August and September 2024, six exceptional fellows were chosen to participate in this transformative learning and mentorship experience.
