Asọmpi Ederede Otu Narị (Igbo Wikipedia 100 Articles Challenge)

Aim

The translation/writing contest: Asọmpi Ederede Otu Narị hosted by the Igbo Wikimedians User Group and supported by Wikimedia Foundationwill focus majorly on creation/translation of articles on notable Nigerian women, arts, culture in Igbo language Wikipedia. This contest will enable us increase the number of articles in Igbo Wikipedia while also recruiting more young persons into the fold of Igbo Language editors and sharing knowledge about notable women, Igbo culture and stories to the world. Kindly let us know about your participation by signing up at the participants' section, and also listing your articles at the achievements' section when the contest starts!

Prizes

The following prizes will be awarded to participants at the end of the contest to the highest contributors: 1st Prize: Gionee S11 Lite Smartphone 2nd Prize: Gionee S10 Lite Smartphone 3rd Prize: Gionee S10 Lite Smartphone

Judging the contest

The judging of the contest will be point-based, the individuals with the highest points will be awarded the prize The scoring system for the winners would be as follows:

Five points (5.0) would be awarded for every new article translated. Two points (2.0) would be awarded for every newly created article about women in Igbo Wikipedia. One point (1.0) for every quality source or Citation used in an existing Wikipedia article. Two points (2.0) for quality (includes using the appropriate intonations, grammar, etc.)

We will also use the hashtag #Ig100Challenge to measure the contributions which will also help us to achieve an excellent Jury procedure.

The contest runs from November 15th until December 5th, 2020. Winners will be announced on the 8th of December 2020.
