CIS-A2K/Events/Online sessions with district level groups working on water conservation projects
CIS-A2K is collaborating with different organisations working on water conservation to build water related knowledge repositories in Wikimedia projects. This activity is evolving as Project Jalbodh in the last 2-3 years. Tarun Bharat Sangh and Jalbiradari network has taken initiative in Maharashtra state to create content on rivers. We have conducted several workshops together to train the volunteers. The Jalbiradari network had planned river tours in various districts from March 2021 to June 2021. But, due to pandemic the tours have to be postponed. In the meeting A2K representative put forth idea of conducting online virtual district tours and proposed a structure for the same. Now, A2K is facilitating the process of planning of tours and presentation of knowledge related to water and other natural resources. In the planning phase and after the two-day tours, the follow-up session on open knowledge and Wikimedia projects are being conducted. We are expecting content generation in Wikipedia, Commons and Wikisource projects in the next few months.
