Faza e dytë e CapX filloi në qershor 2023. Në gusht 2023, backend development filloi pas një planifikimi të kujdesshëm. Aktivitetet Outreach filluan në shtator të atij viti. Nga dhjetori 2023 deri në mars 2024, ne organizuam një praktikë në terren. Në prill 2024, filluam zbatimin e frontendit. Dhe në gusht 2024 ne prezantuam [prototipin https://capx.toolforge.org] të fazës së dytë.

Zhvillimi
technical plan udhëzon aktivitetet tona. Versioni aktual ndjek versionin e tij të dytë dhe të parë dhe synon të drejtojë ciklin e dytë të zhvillimit, nga fillimi fillestar deri në qershor 2025. Për të siguruar qëndrueshmërinë teknike të projektit, ne e kaluam gjuhën e programimit në Python (duke përdorur kornizën Django).
At Wikimania 2024, we launched the CapX first version (capx.toolforge.org) for user testing. The Capacity Exchange team worked hard to incorporate all community feedback we received, and implemented a high-fidelity version in March 2025. Now, we are improving the available features and working to integrate it with more community activities.
Më poshtë janë disa momente të projektit për njohjen tuaj.
- Në dhjetor 2023, ne zhvilluam fokus grupe për të vlerësuar pilotin e mëparshëm CapX dhe për të identifikuar mangësitë dhe pikat e forta të tij. Një vlerësim i tillë aktualisht drejton, në vitin 2024, rrugën tonë të zhvillimit.
- Gjithashtu në dhjetor 2023, CapX futi në bord një praktikant nga Outreachy Round 27, në kuadër të iniciativës Asist Capacity Exchange Development. Gjatë praktikës, ne bashkëpunuam me projektin Lusophone Technological Wishlist në përpjekjen tonë të përbashkët për të (ri)imagjinuar infrastrukturën socioteknike të Lëvizjes Wikimedia nga një perspektivë e Jugut Global. Praktika përfundoi në Mars 2024.
- Në mars 2024, ne futëm një zhvillues të ri softuerësh përgjegjës për frontendin, i cili filloi të zbatohej në prill 2024.
- Në korrik 2024, Ekipi i Punës i CapX u mblodh në São Paulo (Brazil) për një takim planifikimi. Dhe në gusht 2024, ne prezantuam capx.toolforge.org në Wikimania 2024, në Poloni.
- Në shtator 2024, filluam procesin e kalimit të ngadaltë të menaxhimit të Kapacity Exchange. Për dy muaj, Andi Inácio dhe Amanda Jurno bashkë-menaxhuan projektin, përpara se Andi të largohej për të ndjekur një bursë doktorature jashtë vendit.
- Në tetor 2024, ne përfunduam procesin e përzgjedhjes së dy anëtarëve të rinj të ekipit të Zhvillimit Teknik CapX. Më pas, ne filluam të heqim dorë nga zhvilluesi dhe projektuesi i ri UX/UI i CapX.

- Në nëntor dhe dhjetor 2024, ne zhvilluam fokus grupe për të vlerësuar versionin aktual të CapX dhe për të identifikuar mangësitë dhe pikat e forta të tij. Aktualisht, ekipi është i angazhuar në përfshirjen e të gjitha reagimeve të komunitetit në një version të ri të softuerit.

- In March 2025, the development team launched the software's new version. By sending emails to nearly 300 key-Wikimedians, the Outreach Facilitators collectively spread the word about it throughout the Movement. We also published a Diff and produced a unique promotional video.
- An agreement to proceed with the integration of Let's Connect profiles and Capacity Exchange was signed in April 2025 by the Wikimedia Foundation and Wikimedia Brasil. To be able to consolidate this integration with Let's Connect, and have clarity about the project's future coordination, WMF used a grant amendment to extend the project iteration by one year. Consequently, the Capacity Exchange project will continue to be coordinated by Wikimedia Brasil until June 2026.
- During April and May 2025, the team refactored both the Outreach Plan and the Technical Plan for the extra year to guide the activities during the next extra 12 months. The first document contains sensitive information and, therefore, is private.
- Throughout May 2025, the Technical Plan v.3.0 final deliverables were the focus of the development team's efforts. With pride, we can say that we completed everything that was planned, leaving the code clean and open for anyone to use.
- On the development side, the month of June 2025 was dedicated to testing and cleaning up the code. The team also worked on the integration of Let's Connect profiles, with the feature that automates the filling out of information by former members of the initiative. Additionally, we worked on organizing the project's documentation so we could publish a Diff post to communicate to the community about our efforts and achievements, and the report at the end of the Grant's second year.
- The month of July 2025 was dedicated to organizing the development team, resolving pending issues so that the new cycle could begin smoothly and without any loose ends. At the end of the month, we held an in-person technical session where the team outlined next steps in development, and defined priorities and a work schedule for the upcoming months.
- During July & August 2025, we continued the development and carried on the deployment of the Let's Connect profile integration, fixing several minor bugs reported by the community since the last release.
- September 2025 was an important month for the CapX's development. Besides actively responding to feedback from LC participants and correcting some minor errors on the feature, we launched the long-awaited directly translatable version of the Capabilities Directory. With this improvment, users can easily translate the capacities and their description on MetaBase or through the Meta-Wiki translation tool. This has made it even easier to contribute to the linguistic expansion of the tool, making it even more inclusive.
- Throughout October 2025, we began planning new features with some partners and launched the new Data Analysis page, where it is possible to browse the data from the CapX user database. We also conducted two clinic sessions with the Let's Connect team to present our partnership and the special feature we created for them within the tool.
- In November 2025, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Volunteer Supporters Network Hub and the EduWiki Hub to formalize our partnership. We also launched a new feature called the Carousel of Suggestions, which displays possible matches on the user’s CapX homepage. We improved the ways of translating the tool and its Capacity Directory to prepare ourselves for the Translat-a-thon in partnership with the Language Diversity Hub.
Komunikim
Aktivitetet e kontaktit (të tilla si komunikimi në komunitet, takimet strategjike dhe grupet fokale), synojnë të konsultohen me aktorë të ndryshëm kryesorë brenda Lëvizjes Wikimedia. Qëllimi ynë është të vlerësojmë nevojat dhe perspektivat e Wikimedianëve në lidhje me zgjidhjen e propozuar socioteknike për ndërtimin e kapaciteteve të komunitetit bazuar në të mësuarit nga bashkëmoshatarët. Konsultimi i vazhdueshëm synon të mbledhë reagime në lidhje me platformat tona pilot, duke na mundësuar kështu të përmirësojmë veçoritë ekzistuese dhe të zhvillojmë të reja.

Iniciativa e Shkëmbimit të Kapaciteteve(2021–2022)
Faza fillestare e Shkëmbimit të Kapaciteteve u drejtua nga një grup pune vullnetar i Wikimedianëve, pas një prezantimi në një Wikimedia European Affiliates meeting. Ky grup formuloi konceptin, taksonominë dhe platformën pilot për iniciativën.
Grupi i punës dorëzoi një softuer pilot të bazuar në Hartën Botërore të OER. Piloti u testua më pas nga një grup i vogël përdoruesish të interesuar të ardhshëm, të cilët dhanë komente fillestare për të.
Duke trans-lokalizuar aktivitetet e saj, kujdesi i platformës filloi të kalojë në Wiki Movimento Brasil, që nga nëntori 2022. Projekt propozimi për fazën e re më pas u paraqit në MSIG.
