This category contains templates which use common messages provided from one of the methods outlined in Meta:Common messages, including templates that provide common messages.

They should be used whenever possible to provide as much multilingual support while reducing overall workload of volunteer translators.

They differ from templates that provide common messages, which are meant to provide translations to pages and templates rather than serving a specific functional template purpose (such as displaying a navigation menu, date formatting, etc.).
