What is the purpose of the campaign? How will you measure the success of the campaign?
Description - Wikimedia Bangladesh and Bangla (Bengali) wikipedia community is working together to host an article contest on the occasion of International Mother Language Day. The occasion (Language Movement and the month) itself has the significant meaning to the Bengali speaking people so we believe it'll be a great opportunity to promote Bangla Wikipedia to the readers and have some of them on board with this contest. During the contest participants will be asked to translate a complete article from this list into Bengali. The reason for central notice is that we simply want to reach broader Wikimedia users from this region to see the contest as they mostly use English language version of Wikimedia projects rather than Bangla.
Metrics - Last year's contest attracted 917 users (80% new) and they created 520 articles.
What banner(s) will you use? What will be your landing page?
Banners -Wikimedia Bangladesh is hosting two months long article contest at Bangla Wikipedia to celebrate International Mother Language Day, take part and win prizes!
Taking care of this one. But I'll have to use a new banner design, because the old one is not supported by most mobile devices. I can import translations afterwards. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 19:13, 29 January 2018 (UTC)
I cannot exclude, via CentralNotice, that this campaign does not display on bn.wikipedia except maybe with a CSS hack inside the banner; but I'm no expert here so I'm mentioning @Seddon here. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 21:23, 29 January 2018 (UTC)
