[edit]Hi @KuboF Hromoslav: I have the banner ready here (preview). However, if you want to target multiple languages, the usual best practice is to have the banner available in those languages as well. Could you narrow down the target languages and provide the translations? With that information, I can create the campaign.
Just to clarify: the project selection is tied to the language target. For example, if you select "Wikipedia" and target "es", that would target es.wikipedia.org. So regarding the projects, do you want to target only Wikipedia in multiple languages, or would you also like to target Commons or other Wikimedia projects? Ping me when you have the details and we can proceed. Best,--Soylacarli (talk) 22:40, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
- @KuboF Hromoslav: Additionally, community consensus should reached on all targeted wikis, not only Commons where the landing page will be. ;) Furthermore, for a global multilingual campaign it would be highly recommendable to have country, language or project ambassadors that help locally communities to understand the competition and have easy contact to the global organizers. A more appealing banner design might motivate active users, too. Finally, have you reached out to Wiki Project Med and its organizers like Doc James as they seem to me to be the initial group to organize global health-related campaigns?
Recommendation: Looking at the campaign that is soon about to start and the good intentions and partnerships behind the coordination, it seems much more reasonable to me to start your new campaign this time in Esperanto and a few other major languages (like English) that you can still inform about it, as well as limited geographical regions that are more easily to handle (CentralNotice admins cannot select continents, please only provide target countries). — The reach of the campaign can still be further expanded in future editions and with more partners. Thank you, —DerHexer (Talk) 17:56, 22 June 2026 (UTC)
- @KuboF Hromoslav: Hi! I just wanted to check whether you're still planning to proceed with this request. If not, I'll go ahead and close it. Let me know. :) --Soylacarli (talk) 15:26, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
