Discussion[edit]

@Ciell: Please remove the name "Amazon" from the banner. We shouldn't advertise a company in the CentralNotice. Just replacing "Amazon" with "premio" would work. - Laurentius (talk) 09:46, 1 October 2018 (UTC) Done Ciell (talk) 09:51, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Ciell: did you chek the calendar? --Ilario (talk) 20:18, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry Ilario, I must have mist that one! Let's take care of this problem right now. Ciell (talk) 14:13, 3 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Ciell: I'm sorry but our local chapter asked us to posticipate the contest days. Please, can you suspend our request? I'm very very sorry :(--Ferdi2005 (Posta) 21:12, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry. Please don’t consider that. Can we update the period from 1 october to 31 novembrer? (There was a misunderstanding from my part.)—Ferdi2005 (Posta) 22:51, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It won't be displaying for the full month, that would be way to much, as you can read in the page on Banner guidelines. It's set it on a diet of 10 times already: I can expand that into November, if you want. Ciell (talk) 09:36, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, please :D And change the text from "30 ottobre" to "30 novembre". Thank you very much.--Ferdi2005 (Posta) 14:53, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi all, probably you did not see in Calendar that it's planned a banner with the same configuration for Italian Wikicon. The banner will run from 7th October to 18th November (40 days) for an event that is important for Italian community. It's alredy in the calendar and it's set. In addition Switzerland will run a "Thank You campaign" after Wiki Loves Monuments the first days of October. It's a pity because there is an overlapping that will damage everyone. The same Wikinews campaign honestly is too long to produce an impact, the banner will risk to be a part of the look and feel and will not be attarctive. In my opinion who suggested the banner did not plan and check the activities together with the Italian community (I can do a mistake but I suggest to link here where the Wikinews campaign was planned with the different communities) and it's strange because the two organizers of the contest know that there is the Italian Wikicon. I suggest to reconsider the period and to go for a lower diet impression, it would be better to plan a shorter campaign (only last weeks of November) and also to be in touch with the organizers of Italian Wikicon and with the Wiki Loves Monuments Switzerland to agree about the overlap of the banner. Please do it for a polite and gentle action. --Ilario (talk) 20:13, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Ilario, I think we all missed that notice in the calender, I'm very sorry about that. What if I end the Wikinews campaign tomorrow evening? And then you all can coordinate in the banners. Please take into consideration the guidelines in CentralNotice/Usage_guidelines. Ciell (talk) 14:13, 3 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Ciell: Can we have Italian Wikinews campaign in rotation, with ItWikicon campaign?--Ferdi2005 (Posta) 17:16, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Ilario and Ferdi2005: Did you discuss this with each other? Ciell (talk) 18:19, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Ciell: Hi Ciell! Tomorrow ItWikiCon ends. Can we have the banner almost in Italy, (if we can't have one in Switzerland)?
The contest ends on 30th november.(Note: The text changed)--Ferdi2005 (Posta) 12:13, 17 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Ferdi2005: I think it's good to pause for a bit, before putting up a new banner (because of banner blindness). Also, the Community wishlist is on for tomorrow. I'll turn it on the 23rd, so it's on for the last week. Ciell (talk) 17:53, 17 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, Thanks :)—-Ferdi2005 (Posta) 19:50, 17 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
