What is the purpose of the campaign? How will you measure the success of the campaign?[edit]

Description - We want to relaunch the Wikipedia MOOC as in previous years in order to make as many people as possible aware of Wikipedia. This time, MOOC can be followed during one year, specially for the teachers and students due to the pandemic crisis.

Metrics - Number of participants

What banner(s) will you use? What will be your landing page?[edit]

Banners - * Designs : https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Projet:WikiMOOC/2021/Communication. Dont't know why the first one is good and the others are smaller...
  • Since the MOOC is available for a year, we would like the banner to be able to be posted monthly, ideally on Fridays so that learners can sign up over the weekend. If possible, it is better to display the banners randomly (4 designs) and a little bit throughout the year (based on a frequency to be defined for example two Fridays per month) than only once.

Discussion[edit]

@Mathieu Denel WMFr: could you please fill in more specifics in the table at the top of this page? What languages for example, just French? It looks to me like a (mostly) Wikipedia centred campaign: why use the Central Notice (which is already overused) and not just the Mediawiki notice on your local Wikipedia? That one is accessible for all local admins, apposed to the CN which can only be enabled by CN admins and stewards. And has this been discussed with any of the local French projects? Please link them. Ciell (talk) 14:59, 7 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Mathieu Denel WMFr I'm closing this request for lack of any response. Martin Urbanec (talk) 20:24, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Martin Urbanec Hello, sorry for the delay in responding, I've been ill for over 2 months. To answer the question, I just used the same method as for the previous editions of the MOOC via this banner request system. This is the fourth edition of the MOOC which was designed by Wikipedians (https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikip%C3%A9dia:WikiMOOC). We are also developing a MOOC on Wikidata with the community. What procedure should I use? --Mathieu Denel WMFr (talk) 07:49, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
