What is the purpose of the campaign? How will you measure the success of the campaign?

Description - The scope of this campaign is to use the Central Notice banner to recruit volunteers for small-language Wikipedia, the Yoruba Wikipedia. Most of the native speakers of Yoruba who read the English Wikipedia are not aware that Wikipedia exists in the Yoruba language. These readers can be potential contributors to the Yoruba Wikipedia. The campaign was originally conducted between 2021 and 2022 as a new experiment, and it was successful. We want to run the campaign again this year. We will host a central notice banner on the English Wikipedia that is visited by millions of readers from Nigeria, and a simple form will be attached to the banner. Wikipedia readers from Nigeria who are native speakers of the Yoruba language will be encouraged to complete the form and participate in a training on how to contribute to the Yoruba language Wikipedia. The Central Notice Banner will only be visible to visitors who are not registered on any Wikimedia project.

Central Notice admin comments

@Agbalagba: Please make yourself familiar with the CentralNotice/Usage guidelines: The campaign was not transcluded to the request page so that we overlooked it. Please do not provide MediaWiki code for the banner design because the CentralNotice tool cannot process it, but just HTML/CSS/JS. I have copied one of your earlier campaigns for this banner proposal (preview). However, you will notice that I can only add one link (to the qualtrics survey which doesn't work anymore, and not the landing page you have also mentioned here, nor to Yoruba Wikipedia). If you want a different banner design, you must provide it correctly yourself. — I have also created the campaign settings but without updating the dates. @DerHexer: Thank you for your feedback. We did not want a new banner, actually. We just wanted to reuse the last one. We have reactivated the the form and everything you have done looks good and approved. The campaign will now run from 3 September - 5 September 2025.
