Banner/Campaign Diet:

  • To be determined by Central Notice admin
Please note that WLE banner is running in Ukraine in parallel and period is rather short. I would suggest setting same importance as for WLE and diet of roughly 5 impressions per 4 days (so that we have one reset mid-period). Thanks — NickK (talk) 10:01, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

What is the purpose of the campaign? How will you measure the success of the campaign?[edit]

Description - Wikimedia Ukraine plans to give 2-3 scholarships to Wikimania 2018. We asked for similar CN banner last year as in 2016 and 2017. User:Base can be contacted on this matter. We have also contacted WMF (Elie's team) in March about our plans to run this scholarship programme

Metrics - Number of applicants

What banner(s) will you use? What will be your landing page?[edit]

Is this project grant funded? Please provide a link[edit]

Type of grant - Simple APG

Link to grant - Grants:Simple/Applications/Wikimedia Ukraine/2018

Discussion[edit]

Central Notice admin comments[edit]

So, for the record here are the previous banners: 2016, 2017. I am not sure I will have time to deal with this so anyone is welcome to proceed this request. --Base (talk) 21:18, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Pinging a few active CN admins @Seddon (WMF), Base, and Romaine: Can you please look at it? As it did not start on time we had to delay it by one day, could you please tell us when it's done so that we open the application form? Thanks — NickK (talk) 19:36, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Seddon (WMF), Base, and Romaine: Oh no! The banner seems to be live, although for Ukrainian only (we asked for other languages from Ukraine as well). This means it was running for a day while the application form was closed! Can you please:
  • extend it till 18 May 23:59:59 UTC?
  • reset the impressions diet in some way so that people see it again (if we make them wait for the 3 days per current settings they will most likely forget about it)
Thanks! — NickK (talk) 21:33, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@NickK: - Ah, there was no mention of a form having to be activated in conjuction, either in this request or in your email. Before I reset the cookie, could you give me a few words that just says "The form is now active". In as short a sentence as is possible. Seddon (WMF) (talk) 23:30, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Seddon (WMF): Yeah, that's our fault, we were faiting for a message but forgot to inform you in advance. The form is now active — NickK (talk) 01:08, 11 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@NickK: - Do you have a sentence I could put in to say "The form is now active". So that people know why they are seeing the banner again. Seddon (WMF) (talk) 01:28, 11 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Seddon (WMF): Ah, you mean a sentence in Ukrainian? That would be "Форма для заявок відкрита" (The application form is open). If you are updating the banner please also update the dates (11-18 instead of 10-17). Thanks and sorry for this mess — NickK (talk) 01:33, 11 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
