Discussion
[edit]Wikimedia Israel team would like to start a donation campaign towards end of year and beginning of the new year. This is somewhat similar to a previous campaign CentralNotice/Request/Wikimedia Israel, Igul LeTova 2024 (2) from last year.
Initial draft for the proposed banner: User:ערן/Banners/WMIL-Igul-2025, though still not fully tested. eranroz (talk) 22:59, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hi everyone,
- This is to confirm that Wikimedia Israel has signed the relevant agreements for running the 'Round up' campaign again. @ערן one question before you go ahead, when I click on the landing page link I get directed to your donation page and not a page about the round up campaign. Could you make sure the right page will be the landing page (and if this is my Google translate, I am sorry). Best, JBrungs (WMF) (talk) 11:14, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
- It seems like there is no campign specific landing page as far as I understand. I'm still checking with WMIL contacts. eranroz (talk) 16:23, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
- I got an update from WMIL contacts that they have a dedicated page for the campign https://wikimedia.org.il/%D7%A2%D7%99%D7%92%D7%95%D7%9C-%D7%9C%D7%98%D7%95%D7%91%D7%94-%D7%93%D7%A3-%D7%94%D7%A1%D7%91%D7%A8/ eranroz (talk) 07:57, 28 December 2025 (UTC)

Central Notice admin comments
[edit]Hi @eranroz, I created your campaign and used your code for the 2025 banner (preview). If I can offer some advice: I think the three logo's on the right is a bit too much, considering people will also seeing the banner from small devices. Maybe just choose one or maybe two? Ciell (talk) 11:59, 29 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks Ciell, this is good comment, 3 logos are likely too much. I removed one of them (it's enough to have WMIL logo, no need for general WM logo). Can you please apply that for the proposed banner? Anything else needed before it get published? thanks, eranroz (talk) 19:48, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
- @ערן I updated the banner in the preview. One thing that might need some adjustment still is the green color. I am a bit worried it is not accessible enough (for color-blind people for instance), and the contrast with the green and grey in the File:Igul-logo.png does not really work. I would choose a different color, or a less strong shade of green. Ciell (talk) 14:13, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
- Indeed, I have changed the green to a 50 % brighter version. That also solves the problem with the green logo. Furthermore, I have added a dark mode WMIL logo. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 09:40, 7 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks @DerHexer! I think this is a big improvement. What do you think, @ערן? Ciell (talk) 11:21, 7 January 2026 (UTC)
- An inverted version of File:Igul-logo.png would be helpful for the dark mode, of course. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 11:30, 7 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thank @DerHexer this looks much better. eranroz (talk) 13:22, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- @ערן and Ciell: Okay, after all these changes, I have enabled the campaign. With its delayed start, you might want to let it run longer. Until when? Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 17:26, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks! It would be best to run it until end of the month. eranroz (talk) 21:00, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
- Okay, I have extended the campaign duration. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 22:21, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
