Expected behavior

  • Behavior: Avoid public displays of excessive affection and respect personal boundaries. Be aware of person's willingness to interact with you before doing so. During interaction, consider others' personal space, manage the appropriate distance both for said reasons and to reduce risk of deseases transmission.
  • Cultural Awareness: Be aware of the others' cultural nuances, religious practices, and etiquette. Be respectful and open in your interactions — there'll be a lot of people from different cultural, religious and other background that may have different viewpoins.
  • Mutual respect: Be respectful even if you disagree with someone. Duscuss actions, ideas and concepts, but avoid discussing people. In case of a strong disagreement be polite and if this doesn't help — avoid interaction and report to the Trust and Safety volunteers on site or the Team members.

What to avoid

  • Do not harass others: Harassment, either verbal or physical is strictly prohibited. An incomplete list of things that could qualify as harassment:
  • Insulting others, including using slurs and stereotypes,
  • Sexual harassment, including commenting on others' bodies and making unwanted — even if well-meaning — sexual advances,
  • Making threats, both individual and general, and encouraging harm to others, including encouraging someone to self-harm,
  • Doxing and any other way of non-consentual revealing of the personal data,
  • Trolling and hounding.

Youth Safety

The Wikimedians of the Uzbek Language User Group are committed to ensuring a safe and positive experience for young attendees at this event. For this purpose, organizers and participants will follow these requirements:

  • People of age 14 or younger will not be allowed to register for the conference unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. People between the age of 15 and 18 will only be able to attend as part of a group with at least one responsible adult. Conference organizers will inform the responsible adult that young participants should not be left unattended during an event.
  • There will be no uninvited guests at the venue.
  • Conference organizers will have copies of the youth safety plan available for event attendees.

In addition, conference organizers are responsible for ensuring that their events comply with all local laws and regulations that apply to young attendees.
