| Abstract:
Wikiexpeditions is an on-site research project with the ultimate goal of creating or improving content on topics related to underrepresented regions. This lecture aims to present the full process of conducting expeditions from scratch, as well as to give some insights into the successful implementation and development of the Macedonian Wikiexpeditions through the years. In addition, it will provide some tips on discovering unmapped places of interest, taking high-quality documentary pictures, geotagging, and creating content on Wikipedia and Wikidata. Finally, a few words will be shared about other outdoor activities with a similar goal, such as photohunts and photowalks. |
