| Abstract:
I would like to present some common mistakes made by other Wikimedia communities, which by now we understand well and should not be repeating. This way, you can make new mistakes for us all to learn from! :) (Examples: misinterpreting "anyone can edit"; founder's syndrome and inattention to norms early on; inflexibility in motivating volunteers) |

| How will this session be beneficial for the communities in the region of Central Asia?
The CA communities are fairly isolated from the larger movement, and have relatively little participation in the global conversation in the English language. This would be an opportunity to present some common pitfalls the CA groups can avoid and learn from without having to make themselves. | |||
