- September 2006 - WMHK Preliminary Committee founded
- July 14, 2007 - WMHK founded
- July 21, 2007 - Committee elected for WMHK Provisional Directory
- September 18, 2007 - WMHK registered as a Company Limited
- February 20, 2008 - WMHK recognized as a tax-deductable charity
- March 1, 2008 - WMHK recognized by WMF

- Successfully host the First Anniversary Conference within a month
- Tax-deductable status
- HKBN sponsored 2 broadband service packages to WMHK.
- Giveaway of the service packages to members through lucky draw
Headaches[edit]
- Lack of budget
- Lack of new members

- Lack of education about copyright and free culture in Hong Kong
Plans[edit]
Short term:
- Giving promotional talks in schools and educational institutions
- Supporting future CWMCs
- Opening of bank account for receiving donations and future fundraising campaigns

- Co-hosting events with local counterparts that endeavor in free culture movement
