The long-term impact is predicted to be the development and expansion of the wiki, driven by renewed excitement and enthusiasm among users. A key goal was increasing active collaborators and retaining members. Attendees gained new or different ideas for future Wikimedia work, intending to apply new knowledge. Decisions emphasized creating more content, achieving comprehensive Wikipedia construction, and addressing articles lacking sources and including sister projects.

Part 2: Your main learning
[edit]8. Were there any major challenges or things you found difficult that you would like to share? What would you do differently next time?
The community has shown limited interest and engagement in completing tasks discussed during the conference, including contributing to discussions, maintaining article quality, and supporting related projects. To address this, we aim to identify active volunteers who are willing to take responsibility for specific tasks, along with clear timelines. As a community, we will ensure that the agreed-upon deliverables are actively pursued and completed within the set timeframes. this will be one the criteria for upcoming events.
9. Was there any non-financial support that the Wikimedia Foundation could have provided that would have better supported you in achieving your goals?
We would like to request support in the form of experts in Wikimedia technology and capacity development, along with interpreter assistance, to help strengthen the capabilities of the Telugu community. Additionally, we request training programs for enthusiastic Telugu volunteers to further build their skills and involvement.
10. What would you recommend on a local and/or regional level as the best next step to leverage your success and momentum?
We have capitalized on the increased attention to "Wikipedia" in Tirupati following the parade, where it became a topic of public discussion. To build on this momentum, we propose increasing awareness of Wikipedia through local newspapers, social media by establishing a regular column, social media handles dedicated to Wikipedia-related content. This column could highlight notable articles, news, and images while properly attributing contributors and encouraging community engagement.
11. Please add any 3 operational recommendations for future events organizers.
1) Before forming the organizing team, clearly communicate the objectives, available resources, and expected deliverables. Engage with interested individuals so they understand their roles and responsibilities as team members.
2) Ensure that the workload is distributed evenly among the teams and team members. For example, the program team should not be responsible for the entire event, and the logistics team should have enough members to share responsibilities renaming other core team members.
3) Scholarship selection should prioritize consistency over sheer edit count, giving preference to contributors who demonstrate steady participation, quality work, and diversity in their contributions.
