Description

AbuseFilter is a tool used by Wikimedia admins to automatically detect and prevent harmful edits, such as vandalism, spam, or policy violations, by setting customizable rules that trigger warnings, blocks, or logging actions. It is crucial for administrators because it helps enforce site policies efficiently, reducing manual workload while maintaining content integrity. This collection of wishes is aimed at improving or extending AbuseFilter to enhance its flexibility, accuracy, and usability, leading to stronger protection against disruptive edits and better moderation across Wikimedia projects.

Support I totally get that vandalism and long-term abuse are issues, but I think it's a good idea to make some improvements to the Abuse Filter system. It could help prevent people from misusing it. Junior5a (talk) 04:40, 26 April 2025
