Description

Many users, when they want to make some improvements, look in their minds for current topics and things they know or like.

Thanks to the home page that recommends improvements, users more quickly find suggested articles for improvement. This has helped editors who don't know which articles to work on.

However, I think the current system that performs this function is too simple and seeks items to improve with few parameters. I think a smarter AI that would be very useful:

  • It will recommend articles to improve based on the user's knowledge.
  • According to the topics that the user likes.
  • According to the user's previously edited articles
  • According to the location, location or country.

I've seen several people – and myself – sometimes not knowing what to do to collaborate, we start looking for random articles until we find one that we like or that interests us.

A much better AI system than the previous one that recommends articles for improvement would help editors going through this, including new and veteran users.

Support especially if this includes a way for offloading & uppicking tasks of various kinds since e.g. some have too many things to do & some are looking for things to do; I prefer W316 over this however Prototyperspective (talk) 11:48, 5 March 2026
