Show links from template inclusions separately in WhatLinksHere, just like links to redirects (Community Wishlist/W185/en)

Description
This is about the Special:WhatLinksHere page.
Currently, if I visit Special:WhatLinksHere/XYZ:
- Pages that links to redirect to the XYZ show up as a sublist under the redirect page. That is very practical.
- Pages that include a template that links to XYZ show up in the main list, just as if they were directly linking to XYZ. That is much less practical, as they get in the way of actual pages with direct links.
This is a wish for displaying pages including templates with links the same way as pages linking to redirects.
A made-up example below.
Currently would be:
Special:WhatLinksHere/Pineapple
- Apple
- Economy of Brazil
- Peach
- Template:Fruit navigation
- Cuisine of Hawaii
- Banana
- List of juices
- Ananas (redirect)
- List of Brazilian fruits
- List of plant names
- Romance languages
- Pear
- Blueberry
Ideally it should show up as:
Special:WhatLinksHere/Pineapple
- Economy of Brazil
- Cuisine of Hawaii
- List of juices
- Ananas (redirect)
- List of Brazilian fruits
- List of plant names
- Romance languages
- Template:Fruit navigation (inclusion)
- Apple
- Peach
- Banana
- Pear
- Blueberry

Support as good as the related wish if one can collapse / hide these lists of wikilinks from only the template but not the article body (it can be a very long list) Prototyperspective (talk) 17:55, 13 October 2025
Support This would be very helpful indeed! Waldyrious (talk) 22:30, 12 December 2025
