Page previews for transwiki mainspace, user pages, and other space pages. (Community Wishlist/W196)

Description

On the English Wikipedia, it's possible to hover over mainspace article links and see a preview of the link destination. This currently only works within English Wikipedia. I would like this to also be possible on transwiki links. For example, If I link to Wiktionary on my English Wikipedia userpage or within an article, I'd like to be able to hover over that Wiktionary link and view a preview of the definition.

User space previews may be more difficult, since they have non-standardized formatting. Mostly a transwiki preview system to mainspace pages, or even just a way to make transwiki links a little more intuitive, would be awesome.

Support per TranqyPoo's request on Meta. My primary interest is in transwiki previews for main space (e.g. article, definition, image for wiki, wikt, commons respectively) with user pages and other non-main spaces a lower priority.
