Warn when large amount of content has been copy-pasted (Community Wishlist/W243/en)

Description

Ideally, all content on Wikipedia (and other Wikimedia sites) should be created by hand. Copy-pasting usually means the content has already been available elsewhere and might not be suitable for Wikipedia, due to copyright, style or even generative AI like ChatGPT. Develop a tool like Edit Check that 1) warns user when they insert a large amount of content (reminding user of copyright issues, etc.), 2) on publishing adds a tag to the edit, so that patrollers are aware of a possible problem.
