토론 포럼에서 게시물에 답글을 달 수 있으며, 답글을 달고 있는 댓글 아래에 들여쓰기(각 줄 시작 부분에 콜론 포함)를 입력해야 합니다. 긴 토론에서는 들여쓰기된 댓글을 모두 한 화면에 맞추는 것이 어려울 수 있습니다. 일부에서는 들여쓰기된 댓글에서 계속되는 표현을 용이하게 하는 틀을 사용합니다(예: 여기 메타위키의 Template:Outdent).
특히 시각편집기를 사용할 때 이러한 틀을 사용하는 것은 약간 어색합니다. 토론을 읽을 수 있는 화면도 다양합니다(PC모니터, 모바일). 따라서 화면에 코멘트를 넣을 공간이 부족한 곳에 표현식이 자동으로 삽입되면 좋았을 것입니다. 그러면 입력 및 출력에 100% 익숙하지 않은 기여자가 입력 및 출력을 잘못된 위치에 배치하지 않도록 하는 것도 더 쉽습니다. 들여쓰기는 시각적 토론을 사용하여 자동으로 배치되므로 어쨌든 복구되기 시작합니다(기본값인 것 같은데요?).
일부 우려 사항은 인쇄물이 텍스트를 올바른 위치에 배치해야 하고, 어떤 설명이 먼저 나오는지 명확하게 표시하고, 인쇄물을 배치할 때 다른 틀과 파일을 사용할 수 있도록 준비해야 한다는 것입니다.

Support W368: Fix the issues breaking the Reply tool is also about this by calling for the issues in the Reply tool, which does auto-indentation, to be fixed and then that to be made the way to reply to posts instead of wikitext editing. Doing so would implement automatic outdents and I don't see another or better way for implementing this wish other than that (if so that should be specified in a new wish or here).
