Have a way to temporarily disable dialog box for template entry (Community Wishlist/W336)

Description
When I want to make a template, sometimes I don't want the dialog box. For something simple like an sfn, i often find myself switching to source editing to type in the wikitext and then switching back because it's easier than tabbing around. I would love some kind of feature where I can enter the entire template in wikitext first, then hit the button that converts the wikitext to WYSIWYG.

Support Would prefer a more native support for sfn per Community_Wishlist/W39, but this would be a step forward Femke (talk) 21:03, 10 October 2025
