Rewrite ImageAnnotator or integrate it into MediaWiki/WikibaseMediaInfo (Community Wishlist/W36/ja)

Description
"Image Annotator is a JavaScript extension of the MediaWiki user interface, allowing users to place comments onto images shown on file description pages."
It's included in every page in Wikimedia Commons and is ran for every image in pages there to show the annotations (and on pages with lots of images makes the page slow), yet, it has a dated code base and UI, commons:MediaWiki:Gadget-ImageAnnotator.js, and it doesn't use Wikidata provided 画像内の相対位置 (P2677) and wikidata:User:Lucas Werkmeister/Wikidata Image Positions, see commons:MediaWiki_talk:Gadget-ImageAnnotator.js#Worst_gadget for more context.
So maybe it's time to rewrite or integrate it into WikibaseMediaInfo.
