Do not just/fully archive unsolved valid bot task requests and VillagePumpTechnical proposals (Community Wishlist/W465)
There are many valid unsolved requests and ideas on pages like c:Commons:Village pump/Technical, c:Commons:Bots/Work requests, and d:Wikidata:Bot requests.
Currently, they are just archived out of sight after a short time where it's very unlikely somebody will go through the archives to see which of the archived requests are both unsolved and impactful and it will just be forgotten and get done regardless of how impactful or needed implementing some of these are.
It's relatively rare that people unarchive such threads or that other users get the same idea as another user before but do not search the archives and post about it again after which it gets implemented. One approach is to escalate unsolved requests upon archival to another meta page or site like this Community Wishlist or phabricator but not all requests are impactful/important enough for that or fit on these sites. Note that this would need or be most useful via some kind of subcategorization of tasks like via tags and at least for whether or not it has been implemented. This could maybe be done in part via some script.
Related wish: W311: Do not fully archive unsolved issues on Talk pages (that wish had "Talk pages" in the title and technical requests could be on average more important and/or handled a bit differently and there's usually more of them than on talk pages of even large Wikipedia articles so it makes sense to have a separate wish about these) However, please read that wish too for further information (maybe some wishes like this are tl;dr for people here but you could still glance over it and see the illustration).
Another related wish is W316: Suggested tasks based on contributions history (user interests) also for experienced editors as these kinds of requests and ideas/deliberations could become (a) type(s) of tasks integrated into this open source task-solving system that would also forward old unsolved issues to people likely interested in and/or sufficiently skilled to implement them.
