Description

The "Who Wrote That" tool and the Authorship Highlighting feature on Programs & Events Dashboard — which shows which parts of an article were added by which event participants — are built on the WikiWho API service. This service has a relatively small number of languages enabled, and only those languages can use Who Wrote That, Authorship Highlighting, and other tools that rely on the word-by-word attribution data that WikiWho provides.

In addition to the two widely-used existing tools, there are other in-development tools — including the Impact Visualizer being collaboratively built by Wiki Education and the Visual Analytics for Sustainability and Climate Change team — that are limited in language support by the WikiWho API. It's a broadly useful service for tool and gadget developers.
