Searchable and translatable Wikimedia glossary (Community Wishlist/W517)

Description
There is currently no centralised way to look up meaning of a Wikimedia term or its translation in another language. There are glossaries in local wikis, all of which, afaik, are just wikipages.
I assume that many translators, as well as editors who work with newcomers, will agree that a centralised glossary is long overdue.
